2011 Rugby World Cup
I enjoy the heading of Raymond's blog about the world cup: The good, the bad and the ugly :
Throughout this six weeks we saw and experience the good, the bad and the ugly from all 48 games from the strong and experienced 20 teams around the world. What I am concern and very interest about, How New Zealand provide a brilliant services to host this special event.
1) The arrival of every teams in Aotearoa, the supporters have time off from work and heading down to several airports to welcome their heros. There are many team by I will only attched 2 videos from spectacular team from the Pacific :
The arrival of Manu Samoa and the Ikaletahi from Samoa and Tonga.
The whole six weeks of the tourrnment was very significant. The opening ceremony was great, the pool games to quater finals, semis and the final match on the 23rd of October 2011 between the All Blacks and France.
and the moment the world is waiting for:
I enjoy watching the very top eight teams competing for the Gold Cup, I remember Saint Paul letter to Corinthians (1 Corinthians 9: 24-25) says: Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may obtain it. And everyone who competes for the prize is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a perishable crown, but we for an imperishable crown.
The reason I choose this passage to write about, because this is how exactly we are here in this world for! All of us Christians our journey in this world is not that easy, we face a lot of temptation and weaknesses to the way to obtain that Heavenly Crown. Some us can't made because of several reasons like my team Manu Samoa can't make to the top 8 teams due to the lack of preparations and many more reasons as you may aware of. But to me the most popular mistake in every match is COMMUNICATION.Why I choose this as a number one mistake ?
Firstly, we all communicate, we all talk and listen, read and write, use body language and other forms of non- verbal communication.
Every players must communicate well with each other and all of the team member. Commuication is mostly a two way process. It invloves feedback in which the response of the receiver of the message is conveyed to the sender. Such feedback may take the form of physical action taken by the receiver and hence the observable or it may be subtly expressed in body language and be barely discernible.
For example: If we watch the All Black team, from their training session, the coach is always deliver the message, the team members are the receivers and respond provide feedbacks. If we look into the whole game and take a scrum for an example: The forwards including the props, hooker, flankers, no 8, make sure the scrums must be solid and the ball must be deliever to the half back, the half back works closely with the first five eight, first five to second three quater, the center must communicate with the second five and the wingers, if the communication channel flow clearly within this process, there will be a try, But it will a trouble if the communication break down some where on the line. Body language can be seen and heard.
More message are conveyed without words than by the words themselves. Through out this world special event, New Zealand provide to the world lots of Non verbal communication includes graphic representation and all forms of art, it includes music, artefacts, interior decoration, dress and groomimg, and all of human behaviour. Competent communicators expect their messages to be misunderstood by their receivers, So God Himself expect us to receive and must understand His message and this message we are now proclaiming in this world is about the Jesus Christ , the Way and the Truth to the Eternal Life where we will receive our ropes, and an imperishable crown forever!
